Our excellent night crew is responsible for maintenance of all products on the sales floor and in our back stock area. Our night crew is highly motivated, moves fast and accomplishes a LOT in one night.To perform the job successfully, the employee should demonstrate the following:Knowledge of natural foods/grocery industry, preferredBasic computer skillsInterest and passion for the product (loves food and wants to learn more about it!)Positive attitudeHigh energy and an ability to work in a demanding environmentSelf-management and an ability to remain calm under any stressful situationAn ability to be quick on his/her feet and make smart decisions instantaneouslyAbility to communicate with various types of people in various ways (written, verbal, demonstration)Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentApproachability; works effectively and relates well with othersProblem-solving abilities; resourcefulnessPatienceReliability; regular and punctual attendanceAbility to follow-through on commitments and/or verbal instructionActs as a team playerGoes the extra mile for customers and maintains the highest standards of courteous, professional customer service and sensitivity to customer's and co-workers needsConfidentialityStrives to continually progress skill set and education and stay informed regarding new products and industry trendsResponsibilities:Ensures orders are properly stocked: dairy, frozen, packaged goods, bulk, and/or housewares, and that all product is neatly and accurately placed on shelves, allowing for proper facings according to shelf tags and signageContinually organizes back stock to ensure all products lacking shelf space availability are organized and maintainedReceives vendor orders throughout the dayProduct facing; ensures all product is pulled to the front of the shelves and has an organized appearanceProduct maintenance; Ensures all product has proper representation (signage) on the shelfRotates all stock and pull out-of-date productReturns all damaged product to Receiving for creditReplaces discarded product to its proper homeShelf tag and signage maintenance: ensures that all shelf tags and signage are accurate and communicates needs for either to the POS AdministratorPay: $17.00–$18.46 per hour (previous experience taken into consideration).Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Part-Time or Full-Time hours available)Location: 222 Dorset St. South Burlington, VTWhen Excellence is achieved, the results will look like this:The Overnight Grocery Stocker is what we call "a warrior on the floor!" Things look excellent, staff is happy and the department looks as awesome as it does during the day. Grocery shelves will be stocked, faced, fronted, cleaned and rotated by a self-starter who notices what needs to be done. At the same time, this individual is a coachable team player, who completes tasks set up by her/his manager. When something is out of place (shelf tags missing, shelves dirty or sticky, back room needing a clean-up for example) an excellent Grocery Stocker will tell the Manager and be on top of fixing the problem, if possible.
